Gone are the times when only English web series prevailed, our Indian web series is even topping the charts with their amazing story writing, production, and acting. One such Indian web series which is winning hearts is the Sacred Games which is an Indian web television series which is available on Netflix. It is a Netflix original series. The whole concept of this web series is based on Vikram Chandra’s 2006 thriller novel Sacred Games. The series is created in partnership with Phantom Films. There are in total eight episodes which are directed by the very well known Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane, who are co-founders of Phantom Films and have done total justice with the presentation of the whole novel. The first look of this amazing web series was released on 23 February 2018. The show Sacred game is Netflix Indian Originals in production. The series earned significant attention as soon as the trailer dropped. It created a buzz in India and it was worth all the wait.
The whole story is directed in Mumbai, this series reveals the story of Sartaj Singh which has been played by Saif Ali Khan, a surfeited cop living under the shadow of his deceased father and seeking validation from a police force he nevertheless has been hated for its corruption. When Singh receives an anonymous tip-off regarding the whereabouts of Ganesh Gaitonde played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui, a wicked crime lord who has been missing for 16 years, it sets the wheels in motion for a chain of events that burrows far into India’s dark underworld. In all its an action series backed by prolific acting of all the actors. Its Cast includes Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Radhika Apte, Neeraj Kabi, Aamir Bashir, Pankaj Tripathi. All the stars with their amazing acting skills and best projection have done justice to their characters. And not to forget the story line which is the best part considered about the series and its projection.
Coming on to the role of Radhika, she has a brief role to play in the first episode, whereas Saif and Nawazzudin shine as the obvious hero and the villain respectively.
As far as the reviews are concerned, we see Saif Ali Khan as an angry young man who is upset about the crime that has drained into the system. His personal life is on the rocks and his career to hangs by a thin rope. Sartaj (played by Saif) is caught in difficulty and his brilliant performance conveys it quite efficiently, he has shown his brilliant acting skills with this series. Nawazuddin’s who has played Gaitonde appears to be a psychopath, the kind who can kill without guilt and move on like nothing ever happened. Netflix has projected this series and has made the Indian crowd go crazy about it and now the people are desperately waiting for the net season, i.e Season 2 of Sacred games, a series backed up by total drama and action.
